“Is the TI for phenytoin 10-20 mcg/mL or 10-20 mg/L?”
I just stood there for a moment, mouth open, eyes blinking, before finally pulling a piece of scrap paper out of my pocket and attempting, in the least offensive way, to show them that they were both correct.
Egos can be difficult to tiptoe around. Especially when all you want to do is laugh.
After having read The Changelings I find myself wanting to answer people with poems. Only, I’m not near creative enough and have no skill for memorization. It’s a pity though. It would be fun.
Embarrassing moment of the day: I actually got caught roaring along with Adult!Simba at the end of The Lion King.
I’ve become addicted to those mini rice cakes (Quakes) and always have my little zippy baggy of them with me while at work. Today, I had been slowly working my way through the baggy as went over some paper work and walking up to where I sat, A--- picked up the nearby stack of medical records and holding them above my baggy, feigned threatening to drop them.
Or at least I thought that he was only feigning.
He thought I would rescue them.
See, children, this is what happens when people assume things about others.
I would like to say that my Quakes survived, but that would be a lie.
I would like to say that I didn’t loose half of them to the floor in what I rather imagined resembled a plastic baggy experiencing projectile vomiting, but that, too, would be a lie.
I would like to say that I did not then lift the baggy and use it to funnel the few remaining, now crumby Quakes into my mouth, but that would also be a lie.
And I am not a liar.
