C. M. Burns, Dracula and a Rich Texan…What do they have in common?

I love the Simpson’s.

That’s not to say that I don’t agree the Rich Texan on a few issues. :p (I.e. don’t mistake this post as me admitting to aligning myself with any particular political party. I align for no-one)!

Asked a coworker what he thought about each of the possible presidential candidates (well, not each—just some of the more likely ones) to which he shrugged and asked, “What does it matter?”


It’s strange being in a state where you know your vote is worthless. Normally, Texas is one of the more intelligent, forward southern states. That is to say, there are much worse places from which to hail.

But prideful...Texas is prideful to a fault. That can be just as dangerous, no?


I am but halfway through Catch-22 and I am forcing myself to take the break and type this up (walking from the bed to the computer is DVT prophylaxis). I am beyond in love with that book. It's a hundred times better than I ever expected, making me want to force it on everyone I know (wrong, wrong, I know).

It's just that this is the first book in a very long time that while I'm reading I am wishing that I had read it years ago so that this might be fourth or fifth re-read. That is to say, I want to start it over before I've even finished. I wish I could write like this.
