There is just so much cross stitching I desperately want to do that it seems silly to waste time on something I don't really like.
But there was one particularly simple design that fit on a scrap piece of aida that, lets be frank, I was never going to use for anything else and so I stitched it up really quickly just to see if I could.
And it was easy! But the simplicity of the design made for a somewhat lackluster finished product so I didn't even bother photographing it.
But I was on the look out for a design that peaked my interest. And that was when I ran into the 15-sided biscornu patterns on pinterest.
Because, you know, why not try to run when you've only learned to stumble?
It actually worked out perfectly. I had just enough left on the bottom of the piece of linen I stitched my christmas ornaments on to stitch out all 15 sides of the biscornu. Then, deep breath, I cut them out and began stitching them together.
There were moments when I thought I might have bitten off more than I could chew and it is definitely far from perfect, but over all, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I even bought it a special green-themed counting pin to "finish" the design.

Yay!
