But first: here's a couple of quick finishes that we will say delayed my ornament stitching. The truth may be (is) a little... gray-er than that. But still. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. *grins*
First, and overall shot. The InkCircles isn't new, just the two smaller ones.
And a little closer:
This is from one of the more recent Just Cross stitch magazines (I think). I stitched it one over one on 28 count evenweave. This is actually my first magazine finish ever. I love getting the magazines. I always look forward to the new patterns and often find one or two that are added to my "I should do that" list or that I even go the extra step of purchasing the supplies for, but never have I moved beyond that. Until now. *grins* Though, I've got to say, working from a magazine with five extra helpful kitty hands--not easy. I think next time I'll make a copy (several) of the pattern and work from that. My magazine has been ruined.
And this was a request from a friend. You won't believe how difficult it is to find and/or create a cross stitch "font" that resembles helvetica. Sure, you'd think such a straight forward font would be simple. Yeah... Now I know. Hahaha!
But now I am off to Pinterest to dig out the snowflake patterns I saved months ago in the hopes that I would avoid a last minute holiday stitch run. Ha! Maybe next year. *winks*
