For the record: never attempt to teach those who, for whatever biological or sociological reason are incapable of grasping the bobbin koan to sew. It will end in frustrations all 'round.
*laughs* Oh well. In all honesty, a little extra hemming work never hurt a soul.
On a side note, I have fallen in love with Kitty Yoshida's fabric patterns as well as those by Mizuki. They have just enough Asian flair to make me smile without the overly large, geisha heavy prints that so often try to pass as "east". I am quite taken with some of the lighter pinks. I think that they may have a home in the quilt.
